The Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi organized a seminar ´Destination Nepal´ in the town of Chandigarh in India on Friday to promote tourism in Nepal. Bishnu Prasad Lamsal, Minister (Economic) of the Embassy highlighted a range of tourism activities available in Nepal, such as eco-, ethno-, religious, mountain, river and adventure tourism. Lamsal made a detailed presentation on ´Destination Nepal´, highlighting the tourism industry of Nepal and also encouraged the business community of Chandigarh to invest in Nepal´s tourism business. He also assured them that the Government of Nepal will facilitate measures to boost business relations, according to Saturday´s press release issued by the Embassy. The event was organized in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and the Hotel & Resort Association of Chandigarh. A K Malhotra, Managing Director, Chandigarh Tourism, made a presentation on tourism industry in Chandigarh and stressed on the need to explore areas of cooperation between the two countries in the sector. source: republica
