We are pleased to inform that
Tamang heritage trek has been declared safe by the local tourism entrepreneurs in a press release held at Nepal Tourism Board. After remaining closed for 3 months following the 25th April earthquake they have finally decided to reopen it. Although Rasuwa district was the worst hit area, the
Tamang heritage trial remained less affected. It was just a rumour that the trial was unsafe to trek and we also came to know that Langtang was less affected than reported. According to the officials of Nepal Tourism Board, 3 foreigners have already taken TIMS card to visit Langtang area. No doubt almost 90% of the houses in this trail were destroyed in the earthquake; wooden made houses are still safe. The local entrepreneurs assured that they are ready to host 200 visitors per day with the remaining infrastructures. The trail passed through culturally rich traditional villages in the langtang region and was recently opened before the earthquake. Hence it still has a lot to offer despite the destruction. Of course we have lost many heritages in this trail but it is still beautiful and interesting because of its cultural and traditional feature. Hence we suggest you to think of having this trek. We assure you, itβs worth it.
