Ang Tshering Sherpa bags title of Tourism Man 2013

Former President of Nepal Mountaineering Association Mr. Ang Tshering Sherpa has been honoured with the title of ‘Tourism Man of the Year- 2013′. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mr. Ram Kumar Shrestha honoured Mr. Sherpa with the title amidst a programme organised here on August 25, 2013, marking the ninth anniversary of Gantabya Nepal Publications. Natural, cultural and archeological diversity in Nepal are the bases of tourism development, said the Tourism Minister adding that the government would formulate necessary laws, rules and plans for the utilization of such properties. Officiating CEO of Nepal Tourism Board before handing over the title to Mr. Sherpa said that the NTB is moving ahead on the basis public and private cooperation to boost tourism business.
