I did the 20 day annapurna circuit trek with Ame during July 2013, This was the monsoon season, also the low tourist season. I found this to be good, as the trek was not overly crowded, and in the 16 days on the actual trek we only had one day when it rained all day, but only lightly. every other day was superb, surrounded by stunning views. The actual guide Tika has sent with us was Settal, who was very knowledgeable and well trained always keeping us informed. Although Settal was always proffesional he was also quite personal with a human factor, meaning we could joke with him and talk normal with him as a friend, this of course made the trip a whole lot more enjoyable, this is not always the case as a few other tourists I spoke to were quite disappointed with their guides. Our Porter Milon, although quite and maybe shy, was a very conscientious, decent and always helpful. Tika himself, the owner of the business, we met before and after the Trek, During the Trek Tika was in constant phone contact with our guide Settal and us, making sure everything was going fine and we were in good health. Tika himself is a very proffesional yet caring and genuine family man. In my dealings with Tika, I have always found him to be honest, upfront and knowledgeable but also with a personal touch rather than just straight business. I wish all the best for Tika and his staff, and will definitely recommend them where possible. Kurt Riley
