Product Description

A fuller introduction to the route, pace, terrain, and overall trip style.

The Himalayas' stunning mountains and pleasant atmosphere appear to be well-known among trekkers. People frequently see the Himalayas as having difficult terrain and being far from the contemporary world since they've got that subconscious picture of the mountains. Yes, a lot of the places in the Himalayas are like that. But, the Everest region of the Himalayas is a little bit different. The Everest region, especially the trekking route to the Everest base camp, offers a broad choice of alternatives. In addition to the typical teahouse trekking, it allows the trekkers to trek to the Everest base camp in the most luxurious way.

The Ultra-luxurious feeling is the main focus of this Luxury Everest base camp trek. The trip will assist you by putting you in top-notch lodging with perfect food options in contrast to the other affordable treks to the Everest region. We are confident that this crucial element of luxury will greatly reduce your physical tenderness and will help you to prepare for the next day. Additionally, the route up to Everest base camp on this Ultra luxury trek maintains the perfect balance between solitude and modern comfort.

Similar to any other Everest Base Camp trek, you'll get to experience the magnificent views of the Gigantic mountains and, of course, the rich cultural traditions of the Sherpa people. The historical landmarks along the route, such as monasteries, Mani walls, chortens, and prayer stones, will surely enable you to form the closest connections with the region and the people who reside there.

Additionally, it's for individuals who desire a breathtaking helicopter flight but do not desire to undertake the difficult trek back on foot. Laundry service during the trip

The hotels booked for you Β offer laundry service, but at extra cost. However, if you want to do your own laundry, we request you bring biodegradable soap.

Useful tips for successful trek

A lot of uphill and downhill climbs are required, before reaching the Everest Base Camp. Some are easier, while the others get tougher with the increase in altitude. However, all the climbs are within the capabilities of any healthy person. The success is determined by how you deal with the altitude. We suggest you to walk at your own pace, slow, yet steady. Do not hurry to reach the destination. If you are tired walking, take a rest, that is, stand to rest not sit. Wear sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and scarf. This protects you from the intense sun. If you’ve taken off your layers while walking, wear them while you are in the shadows and protect yourself from the cold.

Extra Money for Personal Expenditure

We suggest you to bring some extra Β money for extra expenses like drinks, shopping and tipping, as the trip cost does not include the cost of extra expenses.
Emergency Fund and Optional Activities
We also request you to set aside USD 200 (or an amount equivalent to USD 200) as an emergency fund. This fund is kept as security money during the trek and will be utilized in the case of any changes in the itinerary caused by unforeseen natural disaster (which is very rare though).

Tipping during the trek

You can tip your service providers to show your gratitude and satisfaction. You can tip your service providers like guides, porters, drivers and waiters. The tip amount entirely depends upon your wish. However, there is a custom of tipping 10% of the total trip cost in the ratio of 60:40 (60% of the total tip amount to the guide and 40% to the porter) to the guide and porter.

Health, Medication and Medical Facilities during the trek

The Everest Base Camp treks demand excellent stamina, and the best health conditions as most of the days require 6-8 hours walk. Therefore, we suggest you get a physical examination at east 4-6 weeks prior to the trek and seek advice, medication as well as the permission from your doctor, before the trip. We also recommend you take expert guidance from your local General Practitioner with expertise in Β altitude illness and travel medicines. Β Please get screened for hypertension, diabetes mellitus, anemia, ulcer disease, cardiovascular disease and lung related problems. Any person with a strong family history or over the age of 40 should make cardiovascular risk assessment. Getting a good dental checkup and identifying medicines that you are allergic to are a must. Make sure you are immunized and vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, varicella, Hemophilus influenza type b infection, Hepatitis A and B Typhoid, rabies, yellow fever, cholera, meningococcal disease and encephalitis. In the absence of GP, please seek advice from travel clinics.

Please carry your regular personal medicines along with a First Aid kit. Also add blister kit, sunscreen, bandages, insect repellent containing DEET, topical antibiotic cream, iodine tablets and /or water filter, Diamox or Acetazolamide, Acetaminophen or Tylenol for analgesia, Ibuprofen or Advil for analgesia and as an anti-inflammatory agent, Immodium or Lomotil for diarrhea, Afrin-a nasal decongestant, Pepcid or Zantac for heartburn, an antibiotic, especially a Quinolone such as Ciprofloxacin or Leavaquin, pain medicine such as Tylenol with codeine or Hydrocodone and if you are prone to exercise-induced Asthma or Asthma associated with bronchitis or upper respiratory infections, bring Asthma inhaler. Kindly inform us regarding your present health condition, medical situation, preceding illness and the medicines you are taking, so that we can get prepared for emergencies.Β

Most of the general hospitals and private clinics are available in Kathmandu, therefore, finding a good medical facility isn’t difficult in the capital. However, the Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) operates aid posts in Pheriche (Khumbu) managed by expatriate physicians, during the peak trekking seasons. With an aim to reduce the deaths among trekkers, it provides free advices to trekkers on altitude sickness, equipments and the condition of the trekking routes.Β

Safety and Security during the trek

Your safety is our priority, while you are on the Everest Base Camp trek. Therefore, Β the team leader is given a full authority to amend or cancel the itinerary in the case of unforeseen circumstances, like sudden weather changes, natural disaster, bad health of a group member or any kind of violent protest or demonstrations.

For the security of your belongings, like passport, air tickets, travelers checks, cash, and other valuable items, it is highly recommended that you bring a neck wallet or a money belt to carry these items. Try not to bring any valuable belongings like jewelry. Even if you bring, we recommend you to safely store in the deposit boxes in the hotel in Kathmandu. Also bring a lock to secure our luggage.
Remember! Neither the team leader nor the company will be responsible for the security involved during any extra activities not included in the itinerary. Β

Travel Insurance

Getting a travel insurance is a must, if you are looking for the Everest Base Camp Trek. Your travel insurance should cover all the additional expenses that might result due to various health issues, injuries or accidents (together with air ambulance, helicopter rescue or other treatment cost). Your insurance policy should also cover all extra activities that you are planning to during your stay in Nepal. Moreover, the policy should also cover death, misplaced luggage, theft and liability, cancellations, medical treatment (hospital charges, medicine charges and the doctor’s fee) as well as the repatriation cost. This trek takes you over the 4000m, therefore, make sure that you get an insurance policy that covers the treks that go over 4000m.

Additional rules during the trek

We expect you to follow the rules and regulations of our country and not get involved in any of the illegal activities, during your stay in Nepal. Possession of illegal drugs and getting involved with sex workers is strictly prohibited during the trekking. If found guilty, the team leader holds all right to expel you from the group to free your group from the possible risk.

Local Dress during the trek

We recommend you to pack loose, lightweight, long clothing to help you say cool during the summer. However, we recommend you to avoid revealing dresses like hot pants/ shorts/skirts/singlet/tank tops, especially during the trek and while visiting the holy sites. Β

  1. Hello and welcome to Nepal. One of our representatives will be ready for you to meet and greet as soon as you land at Tribhuvan International Airport and exit the terminal. After the meeting, He will then drive you in an air-conditioned private car. He will drive you to Hyatt Regency, a five-star hotel in the city. As soon as you get to the hotel, you can relax your jetlagged body. Get ready for the Afternoon, as you will be escorted to our office. There, we'll set up a quick meeting where we'll perform the briefing of the journey. Also at the same time, your trekking guide will be introduced to you.

During this time, you may talk to your guide and ask any questions regarding the trip. He'll explain everything to you. Finally, when the meeting is over, we'll go to one of the finest Nepali restaurants. With cultural dance and music performances, you will have an excellent typical Nepali dinner here. After dinner, you will be taken back to the Hotel Hyatt Regency for a relaxing night.

  2. We will prepare for the city tour after savoring a delicious breakfast in the early morning at the hotel. We shall continue to the Kathmandu Valley's famed destinations today. We'll begin the Kathmandu sightseeing tour after a quick introduction from the tour guide of the day. The UNESCO World Heritage Sites Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square will be the key destinations on this trip. Note: Instead of Kathmandu Durbar Square you also may choose to go to Patan Durbar Square.

You'll get an opportunity to learn many things by visiting these locations. You'll get to know a lot more about Nepali art, architecture, religion, culture, tradition, and history. After spending most of the time on this journey, we will drive to our office to review your clothing, gear, and packing list for the trek. Following the guide's advice, you'll look for any further preparations needed for tomorrow's trek. Once everything is in order and prepared to go, we will make our way to the hotel. You will have an exquisite dinner and rest for the night.

  3. As this is the first day of your Ultra Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek, you will leave Kathmandu early in the morning for Lukla. To help you prepare for the trip, we will drive you to Tribhuvan International Airport's domestic terminal in a private vehicle (air-conditioned car). The thrilling experience continues as you board a 30-minute flight to the Lukla Airport, where you can relax and take in the stunning Himalayan vistas. When you arrive at the Lukla airport, staff members and porters will be there to greet you. We will head out for breakfast in Lukla when you arrive at the airport in Lukla and hand over your luggage. Following a delicious breakfast, we ascend to the charming village of Lukla.

We carry on from Lukla towards the village of Chheplung, crossing over the stunning Dudh Koshi River. Shortly after, the breathtaking vistas of Kusum Kanguru and Kongde-RI Peak surround us as we walk towards the village of Ghat along the painted Mani walls, and we will ultimately arrive in Phakding. Chortens, prayer stones, flags, and wheels all elegantly mark the route leading to the Phakding village. After arriving in Phakding, we will check into the most luxurious Yeti mountain home to spend the night. You'll receive both lunch and dinner at the right time here. After relaxing for a while, you could visit the Phakding village monasteries that are close by. Or, it's also OK if you decide to spend the remaining time in the hotel. You might relax in the hotel's resting room, greenhouse, library, or bar.

  4. Following a delicious breakfast in Phakding, we will travel to Namche Bazaar, a well-known settlement in the Everest region. Following the Dudh Koshi River, our trek will ascend through rhododendron and pine forests. It offers us a breathtaking view of the Thamserku and Kusum Kanguru Mountains. As we move further, we will reach Monjo. Here our permits will be checked out before we enter the Sagarmatha National Park.

After entering the park, the trail continues to descend until it reaches the Suspension bridge. After crossing two suspension bridges successfully, we will go over the last hill before arriving at Namche Bazaar. You'll get your first-ever distant glimpse of the majestic Mount Everest from this hill. We will once more check in at the Yeti-Mountain home in Namche. Particularly in terms of amenities and services, this hotel is similar to that in Phakding. Furthermore, the hotel offers free WiFi, massages, and other well-being-related services which you can enjoy. This is Namche Bazaar's one and only hotel, where you can get the best possible lodging and food.

  5. Soon after having breakfast in the morning today, we hike upwards for about 2 hours towards Syangboche. We head upwards towards the hill behind Namche where Exactly the Syangboche lies. Upon reaching the hill we Head towards the northside where our overnight destination Everest View Hotel resides. This hotel is recorded as the Highest hotel in the World. From the roof of the hotel, you will enjoy the Fabulous views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse accompanied by a delicious lunch. We won't be relaxing in our hotel today since we are completely focused on performing acclimatization; instead, we will go on a tour of the villages nearby.

This day gives you the choice of visiting Khumjung, the largest Sherpa village, where you can see a Yeti's scalp and a school that Sir Edmund Hillary built, or exploring the jungles of Syangboche, where you might see some of the local wildlife, such as Himalayan Thar and Musk deer. We will return to Hotel Everest View for our overnight stay after successfully completing one of these trips around the area. For your information, this hotel is well-known for offering accommodations and meals of the highest caliber, on par with five-star hotels.

  6. We leave Syangboche and move towards Sanasa after a delicious breakfast at the Everest View Hotel. You can get to Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp from this junction. Once we arrive in Sanasa, we descend to Phunki Tenga and cross the bridge before finally reaching Tengboche Monastery. Tengboche is most known for its Monastery and the Magnificent Views of the Surrounding Mountains, Including Mt. Amadablam, Thamserku, and Khumbila. After some time spent exploring the area around the monastery, we'll make our way down to Deboche for the night. We will bring this to an end by staying at Hotel Culture Home. You will relax in this pleasant room with an attached bathroom after a long day of walking, and you'll have a delicious organic dinner at night.

  7. Today we are heading to Pheriche after finishing our breakfast at Hotel Culture House. Once we get to Pangboche, we trek for a while and then stop to relax before continuing down the river and towards Somare. We will trek across the route while enjoying the stunning views of the mountains, chortens, and stupas in the region. We follow Somare on a rough path as we continue on our journey till we arrive at Orsho. From Orsho, we ascend to the Pheriche pass, where we spend some time taking in the breathtaking mountain views and finally trek down to Pheriche. After arriving in Pheriche, we will spend the night at the cozy lodge, which is renowned for both the food and accommodation.

  8. The success of our trek depends on the acclimatization process, and we are on the second day of the Acclimatization of this trip. Soon after breakfast at the lodge in the morning, we will climb the ridge behind Pheriche. We should do this little trek in about an hour. You can get amazing views of Island Peak, Lhotse, and Cho-Oyu from the ridge once you get there. We'll have time to enjoy the scenery from here before descending to Pheriche for lunch. Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) presents a lecture about altitude sickness and its effects in the Himalayas in Pheriche. After lunch, you have the option of attending this lecture or spending some time relaxing and getting ready for tomorrow's trip. The same cozy lodge at Pheriche will serve as our home for the night.

  9. After breakfast today, we set off towards the lovely Lobuche village without wasting any time. This village is also the final one to pass through on the way to Everest Base Camp. We go up to the Dughla from here, which is quite easy to pass. However, as soon as you cross the Dughla bridge, you'll have to go through the Khumbu Glacier's steep terminal. Here, you may see the memorials which address the people who perished on Mount Everest. We'll then ascend to the Lobuche Settlement after passing the Khumbu Glacier. Our destination for today is Lobuche, where we will stay in a lodge and have dinner as well. The service and quality of this lodge can surely be regarded as higher than the other lodges.

  10. After a filling breakfast, we immediately set out for Gorakshep since today's trek will be more lengthy. The Khumbu Glacier trek route is quite simple in the early going. After we cross the Kangri Nup Glacier, the trek becomes a little more challenging due to the continual uphill and downhill movement on the glacier moraine. You will arrive at Gorakshep by this trail after a few high hikes. Gorakshep, a village at the foot of Kala Patthar will warmly welcome you with its unmatched views of Mounts Changtse, Lingtren, Khubutse, and Pumori. After Having lunch in Gorakhsep, we'll go all the way up to Kalapatthar. Here, we'll get a close-up view of the stunning Everest Mountain Range at sunset. The moment you stand in front of the Mighty Everest with a magnificent view all around you will go down as the most unforgettable trekking experience of your whole life.

We'll spend plenty of time here soaking in the views. Especially, we will be bursting pictures with peaks like Everest, the Khumbu Icefall, Nuptse, and Pumori in the backdrop. Once we have had enough time in Kalapatthar, we will be going down to Gorakhsep where we will spend the night. In order to ensure your comfort and access to fresh, organic food in this high-altitude region, Gorakshep will provide you with the greatest lodging and dinner.

  11. Today will finally see the most anticipated moment. After breakfast, we will leave Gorakshep and head towards Everest base camp. After 2 hours of continuous walking from Gorakshep across icy and difficult terrain, we will arrive at the dreamy Everest base camp. It just sits close to the Khumbu Icefall. It is thrilling to arrive at the base of Everest, and it is a victory for every trekker. We definitely have to preserve this momentous milestone in our collective memory. So, we will make the most of our time in base camp by taking some photos, enjoying the scenery, and celebrating our accomplishments.

Following the eagerly anticipated adventure, we will fly directly in a helicopter from the base camp to Kathmandu. You will say final goodbyes to the Khumbu region of Nepal flying in a helicopter. This will allow you to see the Everest mountain range up close and appreciate the natural scenery along the way. After a while, our representatives will again meet you at the Kathmandu airport after you land. Soon after, we'll transport you to the same luxury hotel in which you already stayed before. Once you arrive, you can relax while enjoying the benefits of the 5-star hotel's lavish cuisine and accommodations.

  12. Today is going to be a free and laid-back day for you. You may stroll around the hotel's courtyard, go shopping, or explore the nearby streets. You may also take one-day trips inside the Kathmandu Valley, traveling to and from the hotel in our own air-conditioned car. If you don't want to do any of these things, you may relax at the hotel, play in the casino there, or use any of the other facilities available. Later on in the evening, enjoy your five-star lodging and a top-notch dinner at Hotel Hyatt.

  13. This is the day that will mark the conclusion of your trip to the Himalayan country. One of the kind representatives of our company will pick you up when it's time for your flight. He will then drive you to Tribhuvan International Airport in line with your flight schedule while giving you a heartfelt farewell and regards. Even when we part ways, we will remain in touch with you regularly through a variety of channels and always think back on the fun moments we have had. Happy trekking : )

Ultra-Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek – Frequently Asked Questions

Practical planning questions generated from this route, itinerary, and trip setup.

The Ultra-Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek is generally planned as a Moderate trek in Everest Region, with route pacing, altitude gain, and overnight stops shaped around the published itinerary. If you want a lighter or more private pace, our team can usually customize the plan.

You should plan around 13 days for the full trek, including the published route flow, acclimatization needs, and arrival-to-departure logistics. If you need extra buffer days for weather or private extensions, we can map that out before booking.

This journey reaches around 5550 and is usually best enjoyed in September to December and March to May. Trail conditions in Nepal can change quickly with weather, so we recommend preparing for cool mornings, layered clothing, and flexible mountain timing.

The advertised rate starts from $5,440.00 and typically covers the main trip services such as guide support, accommodation, and the core logistics listed in the itinerary. Items commonly handled separately include international flights, insurance, and personal spending, unless your custom quote says otherwise.

The Ultra-Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek is a strong fit for travelers looking for small, flexible groups, local lodges and trek accommodation, and a guided Himalayan experience in Everest Region. If you are unsure about fitness, private departures, or the right route style, send us your preferred dates and we will guide you to the best option.

"Several months ago, a friend of mine came back from world-round-trip and said, β€œA.B.C trekking is what you cannot see in any other places but Nepal”, and excitingly showed me a lot of incredibly beautiful pictures from the mountain and the country, Nepal. The story he shared caught my heart and strongly made me want to visit this country. And now, I also strongly recommend this adventure into wild nature. This is the reason why I am here, coming back from 10days Annapurna base camp(A.B.C) to write a review for one of the best agency (Adventure Mountain Explore Treks & Expedition P. Ltd) in Kathmandu and for you. What I have found during this trip is that this trip is therapeutic, educational, and exciting. First of all, in the mountain area, there are no such things as mobile, familiar TV show, disturbing noise, and annoying friends. You are literally surrounded by nature and all you can trust is your guide and your heart. You also have much free time in the mountain, which makes you think a lot about your future. Second, trekking is educational. You may see a various people from around the world as well as local people. This, I believe, is the best way of getting to know each other, as you will see them again and again during the trail. Exchanging their personal story and back ground helps you grow your personality as well. Third, it is exciting. There is no question about it. When I saw the panorama view from A.B.C, I got so excited that I could not take my camera away (I am sure I took more than 100 pictures and video there). That was defiantly worth it. Now, I am going to share a bit about my trekking partner, my guide, Lok Bhatta. He is friendly guy. He is not only experienced guide, but he knows how he can entertain us during the whole trip. His caring and his humor take up my good memory of trip. Since Lok and I spent 11days together, it is no wonder we became a best friends. Also he persistently looks after me. When I wanted him to take pictures, he always s..."

"My mother and I arrived in Kathmandu with just 2 days to prepare for a trek around Annapurna Circuit. We feel very lucky to have met Mr. Tika Regmi and through Adventure Mountain Explore treks we were able to hire a porter-guide to facilitate exactly the kind of trek we wanted, a self-directed trek with Nepali assistance. Our porter-guide Sujan was a trusted and integral part of our little trekking party. He was very knowledgeable about the route, its hotels and side trips, and he even introduced us to local people and gave us interactions with local Nepalese that we could not have experienced on our own, like a tea in the home of a local family! We couldn’t be any more pleased with our trek. Shanna Simmons 1152 Crescent Avenue Klamath Falls, OR 97601 USA shannasimmons@hotmail.com"

"Thanks Tika We arrived in Kathmandu on November 4, 2011 with hopes to do the Annapurna Circuit Trek to Muktinah. We had no firm guide or porters arranged as yet but were lucky to stay at the Blue Horizon Hotel in Thamel where we met Tika Regmi at the Hotel Blue Horizon. Tika is the director of Adventure Mountain Explore which wa located across the street. With Tika's expert help, our trek was arranged with an extraordinary guide, Sittal "Hom" Simkhada and two equally adept porters, Santosh Uperkoti and Sanjeep. Sittal knew the trail very well having done it more than 25 times. He provided information and insights about each peak and landmark along the way. He guided us up and down with care and confidence, setting a good pace that worked for each of us, our ages being 69, 67, and 30 years old. Sittal also got us to our teahouse rooms promptly and made sure we got our meals on time. We never had to ask for service; it was always provided with a smile. We enjoyed the camaraderie or our guide and porters and spent time playing cards together and exchanging stories. Clearly Sittal loved what he was doing and was experienced with every aspect of being a guide. When our daughter became ill along the way in Manang, Sittal conferred with Tika and we took an extra day to make sure all was well before continuing. There was no pressure to move on before we felt ready. When we reached the summit at Thorang la Pass we all celebrated together. It was a group achievement as well as a personal one for each of us. We are pleased to recommend Tika Regni as trek organizer and Sittal Simkhada as guide with our highest esteem and respect.
