Due to the air traffic in Kathmandu International Airport, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) decided to operate Lukla flights to/from Manthali Airport Ramechhap during major trekking seasons. For this autumn, 2022, It is likely that all the flights to/from Lukla will be operated from Ramechhap airport from 1st October. Ramechhap is about 130 km northeast of Kathmandu, and takes about 4 hours and 30 min drive. As the flight to Lukla will be in the morning, we should be there on time./ To make sure we would like to do half day city tour on day 3 and drive to Ramechap in the evening.
